“Teaching is not a lost art, but the regard for it is a lost tradition.” ..Unknown........Here At SBC Prep the tradition is truly a part of the art when it comes to teaching our kids.
The week of March 23– March 27, 2015, has been reserved for administering the Stanford 10 standardized test. The test will measure student achievement and show how SBC Prep students compare nationally with other students taking the same test. The majority of the students nationally taking the test attend Christian Schools and are also members of the American Association of Christian Schools.
There are some things parents can do to help students prior to testing; be sure students get ample rest the night before testing starts. Students should eat a good breakfast each morning of testing and parents should get students to school on time. Testing will start each morning promptly at 8:30 am and end approximately 11:30 am.

Title I provides financial assistance to local school districts to meet the needs of its educationally deprived students; consequently, each school district extends the opportunity for private schools to participate in Title I and provide services for “educationally deprived children residing in an area of the district who are enrolled in private elementary and secondary schools”. Second Baptist Christian Prep will receive a Title I allocation of $1151.00 this school year. The funding will be used for instructional materials and supplies.
